The Pro-Ject Phono Box SE II is a high-performance solid state phono preamplifier and RIAA equalizer for use with any moving magnet or moving coil phono cartridge (seven selectable impedance settings for MC cartridges). Special low-noise component parts are used throughout the dual-mono circuit design for optimized fidelity and superior channel separation. Gain is rated at 60db (MC). Special attention has been paid to the shielding of the metal chassis to prevent any distortions created from vibration or electromagnetic interference. A subsonic filter provides 24db/octave of attenuation at 18Hz, effectively eliminating low frequency noise and rumble. Gold plated RCA jacks and outboard power supply are included. Input Impedance (MM) 120, 220, 340, and 440pF / 47K ohm. Input Impedance (MC) 17, 18, 20, 22, 69, 100 and 220 ohms / 120 pF. Gain (MM) 40dB. Output Voltage MM 300mV / 1kHz at 3mV/1kHz at MM input. Gain (MC) 60dB. Output Voltage MC 300mV / 1kHz at 0.3mV/1kHz at MC input. Max. Output 9.5V (1kHz). Signal-to-Noise Ratio MM > -95dB (100dB – A weighted). Signal-to-Noise Ratio MC > -75dB (80dB – A weighted). THD (MM) |

The Clearaudio Nano phono stage provides real high-end performance at a true budget price. Clearaudio has achieved this breakthrough by using a simple, elegant and astonishingly effective design perspective. The Nano is a fantastic value; offering great versatility in a tiny package for a tiny price, notes Sixmoons.com for October 2008. The printed circuit board is embedded within a massive precision CNC-machined aluminum block that forms a resonance-free chassis. The miniature size of the Nano ensures outstanding technical results and unheard of quietness within its price range. And it offers continuously variable gain from 34 dB to 67 dB. The latest sophisticated surface-mount technology is used in conjunction with precision electronic components, such as Burr-Brown (Texas Instruments) integrated circuits, and extremely short signal paths leading to a pure, hum and noise-free music reproduction. The true dual-mono design features separate left and right switches for input loading, gain control and MM / MC selection, extracting the best results from virtually any cartridge. |
